San Diego

I went to San Diego for my mom's boring ISTE conference. I'm glad I didn't go to the conference because it must have been boring. Instead, I went to Disneyland and went on all of the rides. My favorite ride was Dumbo because you get to use a little stick that you push it up to go higher and down to go lower. I rode on a lime green one I think, it was dark out so it was hard to tell. I like Disneyland better than Disney World because all of the rides are closer together.

First Communion

On May 6, 2012 I had my First Communion. During First Communion I got to carry up the gifts and Father Tony took me out and made me be someone in Heaven. One of my presents I got was The Brick Bible it is really funny. The book is the Bible but with pictures of Lego characters. Here is a picture of me reading it at my party.

Paddle Boating

Paddle boating is fun and easy. Today I went paddle boating with my mom. We were in San Francisco at Stowe Lake which is in Golden Gate Park. It was tricky because the steering was backwards and I couldn't always reach the pedals, but I still did a good job. I went to the top of the hill that is an island in the middle of the lake after I went paddle boating. Afterwards we went down and I fed ducks and other birds stale bread. I would go to Stowe Lake again because it is fun there. You should go there and try paddle boating.

This is what I think Candyland would look like. I made this picture on KidPix. I wish I had KidPix3D!

My Ultrasound

picture from: nlm.nih.gov
I had an ultrasound yesterday. They checked my thyroids. It does not hurt at all and it is really easy. All you have to do is lay down and turn your head one way or another when they tell you to. First they put gel on you. Then they take the machine and put it on the gel. The machine is like an exray that goes through your skin but it sees the inside of your body not just bones. Sometimes I fall asleep like I did yesterday. So if you have to get an ultrasound don't be scared.

Making Homemade Ice Cream

Is is easy to make ice cream. First you put sugar, milk and vanilla in a quart bag. Then you put ice and salt in a gallon bag. Next you put the quart bag in the gallon bag. Then you shake it for 5 to 8 minutes. Then you take the quart bag out of the gallon bag and rinse the quart bag in cold water. Now it is ready for you to eat it or put it in the freezer for later. And that is how you make homemade ice cream.

I ate mine plain but you could put anything on yours. Chocolate sauce is good.

Muscles

In school we are learning about the body systems. Today I am going to tell you about the muscular system. Your muscles take up 50% of your body weight. Your muscles help your bones move. If you didn't have muscles you could not move.

The picture is the circulatory system, the digestive system, part of the skeletal system, part of the muscular system, and the respiratory system. I made this poster at school on Surgery Day.
